Song Their Way collects information only to validate and prepare a custom gift-song service.
What we collect
We save your email, recipient’s name, relationship, occasion, optional story, submission type and submission time in this site’s database. We also save first-visit UTM campaign tags, referring page (without query strings), landing path, arrival time and a random browser visitor ID. Preorder clicks are saved with this ID before you provide an email; a submitted form links the ID to your email. Please do not share sensitive details.
Why and how we use it
We use submissions to understand demand and email you when we launch. Your submission does not trigger song generation, a purchase or a subscription. We do not sell your story or send it to a music-generation provider during this experiment.
Storage and analytics
Campaign attribution and a random visitor ID are stored in your browser’s local storage to remember your first visit. Names, stories and email addresses are not stored there. GA4 and Rybbit are currently unconfigured. Cloudflare hosts the site and database. To limit automated submissions, we temporarily store a hash of your IP address and the current 10-minute window, with a request count. We do not store the raw IP in these database rows; expired counters are removed on subsequent valid requests.
Your choices and retention
Sharing a story is optional. We delete all intent and click rows within 90 days after the six-week experiment ends. If you later join the real product, information you choose to carry over is handled under that product’s policy. For access or earlier deletion, email support@songtheirway.com from the address you submitted. We delete its intent rows and linked click rows. Clicks made without a submitted email cannot be located by email; you can include your browser visitor ID from local storage to identify them. You can also clear local storage in your browser.
